I have never signed up for Facebook. I can count of the fingers of one hand with some fingers missing the number of times I have had someone say anything about me not having a Facebook account. I have seen online groups, where they have their own site nonetheless, where some of the members make meeting preparations or discussions on Facebook. I find this to be bizarre and completely rude to others. Why not keep your discussions on the site that was made for those discussions. If I want to communicate with people, I will use email or text messaging, or even a phone call. But then again, I don't want to broadcast my life to a bunch of strangers, so I must be weird and suspicious! I do have a Linked In account as that serves a different purpose. It allows me to keep track of work contacts for future use. Facebook has no use to me though and I will not get an account there.

The receptacle might be able to handle it, but my back and knees sure won't handle all that bending over to reach the plug. I guess we need every outlet to be switched at arm height so we can actually turn our stuff off.

I find the price difference for storing more than just images to be pretty steep. Wouldn't it save money to use stenography to store your files inside of some images so you could get around their stupid rule? You could even up the amount of data storage inside the image since you don't really care if the image looks good afterwords. Just have the file name and structure of an image would work even though it looks like static or something. Then you run them through a program that extracts all the files and if needed puts them back together like a multi-part rar file or something.

Actually that video does show the switch being lifted when moved to the other positions. It is hard to catch the switch being lifted, but at 2:20 when they are unlocking the door, you can clearly see the switch shaft lowering back down after being lifted and moved. You can also see the notch in the switch body where the switch shaft locks into place when not raised.

As I watched further I do see at 3:05 they moved it to the locked position without raising it, so there you are correct.

There are plenty of things we can't observe directly. We don't see ultraviolet light even though other creatures can.

Now imagine a 3d object leaving the 3d "surface" he lives on and flipping himself over (like a 2d object could be flipped). He would be able to escape from a locked chest, and his appendix would be on the wrong side! I think we have discovered how Houdini did his tricks!

Sure, you can believe they were talking about surrendering. But they attacked Pearl Harbor during talks of surrender also. I'm not so sure I would put much stake into what they say. And they also had the plans and exercises going for every civilian to mount violent resistance with pitchforks and whatever else they could muster.

There are plenty of actual human being that don't have a conscience, why would you assume a new intelligence would automatically have one?

There are many more cases of the SWAT team going to a wrong address or having bad information for other reasons and shooting innocent people than there are of SWATTING. Giving hard time to people who commit SWATTING would not address the larger problem of police that are out of control and want to shoot everything that moves.

It in pretty regular that the dog will be shot no matter what the situation, even if the people there are all innocent bystanders. It has also happened that grenades have been thrown into baby cribs. It was a flash grenade, but it still killed the baby. And there are elderly people in bed killed when the SWAT team breaks down their door. There are even web sites that keep track of all the hostile and inappropriate actions by SWAT teams.

Maybe the real problem is the swat teams that are sooo eager to rush out and use all that fancy weaponry they get to play with! Perhaps we should blame the parents of the cops for all the police shooting that are occurring throughout this country.

So you are saying that all women are weak minded little pussies that can't take a joke! Are you sure you believe they are equals to men or do you actually believe that they are substandard and we should all tip-toe around them because they can't handle adult conversations. Are they allowed to hunt and kill animals if they want, or should we keep them locked up in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant? Your views seem old fashioned to me.

Which the article summary itself mentions happened last year at this time. If I lived there and found this to be a large inconvenience, I would certainly look at getting an older second car just to avoid this stupid law. Thus the rest of the year there are possibly more cars on the road and not less. And on these days of even-odd cars, you will have more than you would have had if people didn't buy a second car. It is called unintended consequences, and it happens a lot when politicians get involved in things.

Bing also likes to return pages of malware infested software instead of the real product you are looking for. I noticed this the first time when I accidentally installed a malware infected version of Chrome because IE put it at the top of the search. I suspect that they will figure people won't want to use Chrome if it comes with all the pop-up ads and crap, but I just attribute it to Microsoft's evil underhanded ways and refuse to use IE or Bing anytime I have a choice.

Why would a company make a locally run version of Siri only to loose out on all the extra money they could make from analyzing the "Big Data". I don't think it is as simple as saying if they could do it, they would. Stand-alone GPS units from a decade ago could hold a map of all the roads in the USA for routing you to your location. Does Google Maps have the roads locally stored or do they send your current location and target destination to their servers so they can get more data on you?
