peipas writes: The Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to examine the Federal Communications Commission's ability to levy fines against broadcasters for so-called 'fleeting expletives' after Fox Broadcasting challenged the FCC's enforcement of unpublished decency standards. Ironically, the Associated Press itself censors the expletives it quotes in the article.

Submission + - Dell threatening to delay XP orders

peipas writes: We already know that Dell has reintroduced XP as an option for orders. While this is an admirable concession to consumer demands despite expectations from Microsoft to sell their new product, you may not be aware that Dell is threatening to penalize consumers who choose XP over Vista. Placing an XP order on Dell's website alludes to their XP software shortage by suggesting order delays.
