Just in case you're wondering how well this manipulation works...

Lets consider some common terms.
"Consumer"
"Brand Loyalty"
People are consistently manipulated via the media, their buying choices, their humor, their self identification, their politics, think about an environment where you are not exposed to some sort of advertising, propaganda, or other negative stimulus.
Do you have an environment like that?
We are drowning in a sea of media manipulation, and most can't see it as they have grown up with it.
Everyone knows all the good hackers are fat slobs with asthma... *eyeball roll*
Sure conspiracy is an option, I've covered that multiple times here's one: http://slashdot.org/comments.p...
But here's something else to consider, getting caught at lying IS incompetence, so you see no matter how you look at it they are incompetent.

Ultra-wideband is also used in "see-through-the-wall" precision radar-imaging technology,[10][11][12] precision locating and tracking (using distance measurements between radios), and precision time-of-arrival-based localization approaches.[13] It is efficient, with a spatial capacity of approximately 1013 bit/s/m.[citation needed] UWB radar has been proposed as the active sensor component in an Automatic Target Recognition application, designed to detect humans or objects that have fallen onto subway tracks.[14]
I'm stockpiling now, we can not allow a sticks and stones gap.
Given that the course of hypersonic research has acknowledged both of these concerns, why have several countries started testing the weapons?"
Because every country has a Military Industrial Complex that needs to be fed, and every country has people that... well in the words of General "Buck" Turgidson: "Mr. President, we must not allow a mineshaft gap!"
So asking questions like "Why?" is silly, it's obvious why.
I would take the money you're going to pay a lawyer and have someone morally challenged deal with the problem.
Ignorance of the law is an excuse.

"Armature radio license"?
Is this the same FBI that told us NK was responsible for the Sony hack?
