Comment Outlook Express (Score 1) 641

I used to love Outlook Express for usenet (NNTP). I preferred to every other newsreader I have tried. Thunderbird even today is terrible for NNTP. The only problem with OE was that it didn't do quoting correctly. But there was a free 3rd party fix available for that. The Outlook Express Live (or whatever else it's called) which is available with Windows Live Essentials is just not as good as Outlook Express.

BTW, I used XP till March 2011 before moving to Windows 7.

While Microsoft has started offering schools incentives to use Office 365, including free licenses for their pupils, the company is under greater pressure from its competitors. Comment Not in Europe & India (Score 1) 248

The problem with Microsoft and Nokia, is that nobody really wants a Microsoft Phone

Not in Europe. Not in India.

Windows Phones crossed 10% in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K for the 3months ending Jan 2014.

Nokia 5xx is the phone which is opening up new markets in Europe. Most of Nokia 5xx phones were people upgrading from non smartphones.

Some of India's local cellphone brands (who mostly sell rebranded Chinese phones & tablets) are planning to launch cheap Windows phones & tablets.
