The first major hack to SONY came two weeks after they laid off their security people. what a coincidence. And this malware was targeted... It doesn't take much to see that it's been a long running inside job from people who were once SONY security people.

Nobody buys Oracle because they need a DB, and that sounds sexy. They buy Oracle because their application needs a database, and it either ONLY runs on Oracle, or is highly recommended to run on Oracle.

And then there is Oracle commerce which I see nobody mentioning. The backend of most businesses, which shockingly needs an Oracle database.

Got some random data you want to organize? have a budget? If so MSQL, otherwise MySQL. Have a real world app? Oracle.

and all those ~$100 tablets. If Microsoft didn't lower the cost of Windows to zero those would all be Android tablets.

we dont' do DST. It's so nice. Short time differences are the WORST to deal with. I'd rather deal with 12 hour time differences, then some 1-2 hour nonsense.
