The insurance companies will only pay out to repair it, other engineers say that's impossible.

If the stadium owners thought insurance was the way to go, they were highly mistaken and this proves the point.

Insurance is the biggest scam out there. It doesn't matter what the insurance policy says, insurance companies will do everything in their power not to pay out anything or at best, a token amount.

Witness what happened when Katrina (a hurricane for those not in the know) hit Louisiana. The insurance companies tried to claim storm surge damage wasn't covered even though the houses were damaged by winds.

Even worse, the people relied on their insurance agent who told them they didn't need flood insurance. Further, they lost their case.

Pick any insurance you want and the same applies. You pay and pay and pay, then when you need coverage, you pay some more before the insurance companies hand over a pittance.

Hopefully the stadium owner goes after the insurance company and forces them to do what they were paid to do. If not, get your money back for breach of contract.

they're continuing their newly established tradition of hiding things from users.

Windows 7 started the trend of burying what used to be easily accessible options. What used to take 2 or 3 steps to accomplish was now, in most cases, doubled, not to mention neutering the Start menu.

Then came Windows 8/8.1 where you couldn't find anything in general, including Control Panel, because everything was a tile with some random combination of characters for a description.

Windows 10 appears to be continuing down this path though they did graciously open the desktop back to the user but still restrict what you can see in the Start menu.

Now they've gone and gotten rid of pre-notification of what the patches they're offering are all about.

At this rate, in a few years there will be nothing but a black hole from which is emitted a particle of Hawking radiation, leaving the user completely in the dark until the moment it arrives.

If I'm sick I'll pay for it out of my own pocket.

If I'm dying, I won't need to shell out money.

The amount of money one pours down the black hole of insurance could easily pay for all but the most serious medical condition. When the money isn't being wasted, it could be used for other things such as food, housing, clothing or education.

Instead, and as I stated above, it's poured down a black hole, never to be seen again.

There is the gun range which has a sign saying, "Muslim Free Zone" and so far they're able to get away with it.

or for a pharmacist to refuse to fill a prescription because the person is a Muslim?

No, but we do have pharmacists refusing to fill prescriptions for birth control because it might offend their religion.

Not to mention there are those bakeries and photographers who refuse to cater to gay people who want to get married.

While the courts have ruled against the above practices, the owners can simply be more selective in who their clients are, thus getting around the issue. This is the same thing businesses do when interviewing. They see someone's great resume but when they come in they realize the person is over 40 and disqualify them.

The reason they can give is simply, "We found someone more aligned with our requirements" even though they are discriminating by age.

That is what the Crusaders did every time they took a town/city. They executed people with their swords. Those who fought, the women, the children, the elderly.

Compare that to Saladin who showed mercy and the let the Crusaders go (for the most part).

Sane people don't care about such ridiculous restrictions.

Tell that to the guy who fought a parking ticket because the sign used the term "12 PM". He went before the judge, explained there is no such thing as 12 PM, only 12 noon, and won his case.

Considering the anal-retentiveness of a large portion of people on here, one would think this wouldn't even be an issue. It's quite clear, AM is anti meridiem and PM is post meridiem. What time is 12 PM since it is neither post nor anti?

I'm glad you phrased it that way. Countless times I have seen people, signs and web sites refer to times such as 12 PM or 12 AM.

There are no such times. It's either 12 noon or 12 midnight.
