Comment Re:Noisy WIFI (Score 1) 499

If you use linux and your card supports packet injection you can use airodump to capture packets and see who is transmitting the most data.

Your card does not need to support packet injection in order to run airodump. You only need packet injection support to inject packets with aireplay while capturing them with airodump on the same interface.

The router must be running Linux with WMM enabled.
From TFA:

As with the previous attack, a lot of stars have to be in alignment. The biggest requirement is that TKIP has be the key type, not AES-CCMP. An attacker has to be proximate to sniff traffic and inject packets. The router has to be running Linux, like many Wi-Fi routers do. The router doesn't need to be compromised; there's a particular Wi-Fi packet sequence that's more predictable, and thus easier to use in the attack. Network QoS (802.11e/WMM) needs to be enabled as well.

Another Dreamhost user here. Right now you can get a $97 discount with a promo code (ccc97).
Your 1st year works out to a little over $20 and $120 per year thereafter.
Unlimited bandwidth, storage, and domains.
Shell access is a plus, although I only use it for pulling files from other sites with wget or lynx.
So far I am very pleased with them.

Here are some examples for you

Man shoots, kills intruder who broke into his home

Resident Shoots Home Invasion Suspect

Three held in Palmview home invasion

Home invasion suspect recovering

I know they are just anecdotes, but they are good examples of what can happen in a home invasion.

If I were in any of these situations I would not want anything getting in the way of my firearm working.
It's funny. Laugh.

Submission + - New Screenshot of Duke Nukem Forever

aeiz writes: "The sequel to Duke Nukem 3D is PC gaming myth, lore and legend. 3D Realms has been supposedly working on the game for more than a decade now, yet we've seen so little about the project that it's hard to believe they'd done anything but Sudoku puzzles. Was Sudoku even around when they started working on Duke Nukem Forever? I can't get it straight anymore. To prove the skeptics wrong, 3D Realms president George Broussard randomly posted a thumbnail-sized screen shot from the game on the Shacknews message boards. Georgey says it's in-game, but they've also said the game will be released some day, so take it with the appropriate grain of salt: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156730"
