You missed the point.
The problem is that the focal point SHOULD NOT be 100m away if the object (in the virtual world) is at 10cm distance.
Yes, there are independant film makers out there, but without those box-office sales, we wouldn't have Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, or a slew of the other CGI-dependant movies with big-name actors/actresses.
Oh, the horror!
The problem still with these VR goggles is that my eyes want to adjust its focus on stuff that is nearby, and want to have a distant focal point when stuff is far away.
The danger is of course that when using these goggles often, my eyes may "unlearn" their focus behavior.
You're holding it wrong.
But Android is based on Linux, and I can still run Linux on a 386 without problems.
It's running inside virtual box that's running inside vmware on an android emulator that's running on an iPhone 1.
What's wrong with that?
If you could (in the way you wanted), you wouldn't need to hire anybody.
Important to note is that the real problem is that big companies are raising the barrier to entry by buying specialized companies.
And is your telephone company allowed to run computers that listen in on your conversations?
The problem with companies becoming their own manufacturers (buying other companies in the process) is of course that they actively destroy the economy for small companies. We should not accept this from Apple or any other company, because, while their devices may be beautiful, they actually do more harm than good overall.
If legal documents can be sent over Facebook, then shouldn't communications on Facebook be regulated under the FCC telecommunications act?
This would include that private messages sent over Facebook may not be inspected by Facebook, and may not be used for targeted ads.
Nope. But you can start your own version of Slashdot, and ask $9000 to join.
They don't even seem to have a running website yet.
I guess they just want to share the idea with the rest of us so that someone else can implement it.
The nice part of this product is that you can wear it without anyone noticing!
