That wasn't true for my Nexus One, anyway. Unlocking the boot loader wiped the user disk, period. Should have been the first thing I did. :( Nexus S could be entirely different though.

I can't say I've been occupying anywhere but work, but it seems amazing how many stories I've been seeing lately that strike me as "Congress trying to pass a law to help the 1% at the 99%'s expense". You'd think they'd at least wait until some of this blows over, but I guess they really don't care or feel threatened.

I actually wish they'd spend more time addressing your pro point. Rather than just making sure people aren't speeding, how about making sure people aren't passing people at too great a difference in speed? Or cutting people off with too little space?

Yeah.. because no one owns songs they bought more than 2 years ago. They just throw them away and buy new DRM free versions, right? I'd praise Apple for dropping DRM only if they allowed you to un-DRM the old tracks for free (or the price difference). All their old customers are still locked in... even if its only $20 worth of DRM'd music they own, that's still $20 they now have to spend to access content they already paid for on another player.

I think he means those sites with "if browser supports flash, show XXX, else show YYY". Even with flash block (on demand), your browser will report that flash is supported and thus get the flash version of the site.

I have it on my Nook Color and have been anxiously waiting for google to make good on the source release so it can actually get better. I'm very disappointed by this. You can't control the what people do with open source releases.. that's just how it is. I can't decide which is more annoying, them delaying the gingerbread release to my Nexus One for months so the Nexus S could look extra shiny, or them delaying honeycomb source so the Xoom and other pending tablets look extra shiny. I'm losing faith in google here. I can't decide if they are just too afraid manufacturers will jump ship if they don't get easier sales channels or if they are taking Apples rants against android a little too close to heart.

I don't agree at all. I worked for Nokia for 10 years and worked with many Finns. I think the groups point is not "Finland is so great" but rather Nokia's distributed R&D efforts are horribly inefficient. Having experienced it from the inside, I can see their point. And they do have a very large talented asset base in Finland, so it makes sense to keep that as a focal point. That said, they have absolutely no hope of getting "top talent" to go work in Finland.

Yes? How about a conditional yes at least? Last I checked, only certain HW configurations were supported. My attempt to run Meego on a laptop a few years old resulted in utter failure. At the very least I think you need an Atom chip. For reference, from the Meego Netbook link:
