They've been doing this for years, and long ago burned out my interest in contributing. I've seen 3 pages I helped create/curate get deleted. Happily 2 of the three eventually were re-created by others a year or two later, but a lot of work was destroyed. Let them have their "The free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" slogan - I'll continue to be a parasite reading without contributing unless they clean up their practices to prevent the destruction of good articles.

I evidently mis-read your comment about 9mm and .38 being the same size, which is what I was addressing. .38 is slightly larger, but the larger powder charge behind the 9mm makes it a more effective round. That being said, more effective round is easily eclipsed by shot placement.

And again, a round from a long gun is head and shoulders above any handgun round.

Though the .38 is actually .356" where a 9mm is .355". It is a minor detail and one thousandth of an inch is irrelevant. Though folks will load .356" for lead in 9mm.

Unfortunately, we'll never know. Oh, sure, we'll get an answer of sorts that will alienate a good chunk of the population of the US, but it will be about as reassuring as the Warren Commission report.
