I think what he's saying is that time is not linear from an eternal spiritual view, so while the vessel might be stuck in this linear mortal realm, it could have been populated by your spirit completely.

An interesting thought along these lines in regards to reincarnation, what if we are all just one spirit, forced to relive all lives, thus the evil you perpetrate to others you really perpetrate to yourself.

Let me offer an opposing view, you didn't read the article and have no idea what you are talking about.

Since the actual show wasn't a reality show, it was something more akin to "http://www.amctv.com/shows/the-pitch" or home makovers where the homeowner comes back to see their renovation and the show follows the technical aspect of the renovations, there was no need for "manufactured" drama.

In fact, making an indie game from scratch, involving all the technical aspects from both veterans and novices (the programmers and youtubers respectively), and having to do this on an imposed deadline would create all the "real" drama needed to make the show interesting. Not to mention the inside look at what most people never get to see, creatives making entertainment out of nothing.

what this douchebag did was take a creative environment, strip all of the creativity out of it and then throw in heaps of sexism, forced strife, corporate policy and "reality" fakey crap (like forcing a game programmer to re-enter a "scene" 5 times to get the "shot").

the biggest stupidity was that he was just some corporate douche who used the sponsorship ties the program had to force changes he thought would make the program better, he wasn't even someone there to make those decisions, only by throwing his corporate money weight around was he able to get the ones who were in charge of that stuff to concede to his input.

at the end of the article everyone pretty much agreed if this douche had never been there, there would have been no issue...

TL:DR the adults would have gotten along fine without this mental 3yr old.

i watched as a man in front of me waiting to get on the freeway missed that the light had changed because he was looking down on his cell phone texting, he then again missed that the lane was clear to begin proceeding onto the on ramp as he was still texting, i then watched him not more than 30 seconds later look up to see that he was headed into the guardrail, over correct, and then fishtail across three lanes eventually rolling his car several times.

this happened right next to me, if i hadn't floored my gas pedal he would have dragged me along in my car...we stopped and called 911 then continued when they said it was ok to, on the way back from shopping three lanes were still clogged as ambulance, police and firemen dealt with the scene.

i would say that modern phones can be too distracting when driving and with driving being such an incredibly dangerous activity (anyone been in a 60mph car accident besides me, raise your hand) it's probably best not to do anything that will divert your attention from it, even momentarily.

how do you prove that it stopped a cold? do you have the same subject subjected to the cold with and without the zinc treatment?

how would you even prove this? dose the nasal cavities with zinc then dose with virus and test the blood for traces of the virus?

Link to any studies?

i call bullshit.

why don't we just be good drivers and pay attention to the road and our surroundings instead of trying to have technology do it for us to the point where we completely rely on it and end up killing people when it fails?

i personally don't want a car to do any of the driving for me, i'll do it myself, and if i'm too tired to drive, can't spend .5 of a second to move my arm or turn my head or care if anyone is in the space im about to drive into.. maybe i shouldn't be driving?

trying to make artificial intelligence is the worst idea man has come up with, worse than atmoic bombs i dare say... the one limiting factor of humans is that we die... all the information we have gathered must be passed down to the next generation by teaching them all that has been learned previously... artificial intelligence will not have this limitation.

For example, imagine a battlefield between robots and human opponents:

a human is killed.. immediately all of the training and knowledge up to that point is gone.

any soldier will tell you the difference in survivability between a soldier fresh on the battlefield compared to a seasoned veteran, now compare this to:

a robot soldier is killed, (we must assume that any AI will be networked in some fashion, just like we do now with humans) the previous knowledge, "personality" and situational awareness is transfered to a different "body" and immediately deployed.

it's obvious that humans will only lose information/skills/any technical advantage slowly but steadily with each death, while the AI as a whole will only get better, more efficient and stronger.

the terminator movies are a nice bedtime story but the reality would be much more terminal.

the only positive outcome would be an AI that found human co-existance possible, ala matrix type theology, but any AI would surely see the history of aggression, conquering and oppression of our own selves throughout our past as proof enough that this is inevitably impossible or statistically improbable enough to risk...

eventually if not wiped out or severly hampered by some natural occurance (meteor/ice age/plague) we will bring it down on ourselves with the false hubris we enjoy by being just smart enough to discover concepts and inventions we can never possibly fully understand the implications of or control (e.g grey goo orsuper strains of resistant infectious diseases.)
