The acquisition is reported as confirmed in both the company's site and several news outlets.. The CEO of Global Gaming Factory has stated that "We would like to introduce models which entail that content providers and copyright owners get paid for content that is downloaded via the site". Although TPB's official blog statement tells users to "don't worry", many regard this as a bitter end for something that has been not only an important filesharing site, but also a symbol of the fight for Internet freedom."
