I'm pretty sure with your first option they would try (at least) to charge you with obstruction of justice. It's not like they're just going to let you walk out after you say you "forgot" your password.

The second would probably net you obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and probably some other stuff.

Obviously, IANAL.

Of course, so far Sony has been too stupid to know whats actually in their own best interests.

People keep saying this, and I find it hard to believe. Sony know's exactly what is in their best interests. They've done a cost / benefit analysis I'm sure, and decided pissing off some people (like us on /.) is worth it in the long run.

Containment unit != containment vessel. That's one of the huge differences between this and Chernobyl. These reactors have the reactor in a containment vessel that is inside a containment building. Chernobyl just had a containment building and no inner containment vessel. Hence when the roof of the Chernobyl reactor blew off, the core was exposed to the environment. Here, the core is still inside the inner containment vessel, which may or may not be damaged.

Also, even though it says Europe only in the list, this does hold true for NASCAR 09, since there won't be a new version of that game. Polyphony Digital has the NASCAR license now, and it's supposed to show up in Gran Turismo 5, if that ever sees the light of day.
