It's likely that your reinstall on every boot is necessary because your distribution includes several open source replacement drivers which interfere with the one you installed. This can be fixed via adding

DISABLED_MODULES="nvidia nvidia_legacy nvidia_new"

to /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common , or something like it.

An anonymous reader writes: Jean Ichbiah, French inventor of the programming language Ada, died Jan. 26, at age 66. He suffered from brain cancer.

Ada, created at the end of the 1970s, was the first object-oriented language to become an international standard, in 1995. It is still widely used today, mainly for real-time systems in the aeronautical industry; the code is embedded in the Rafale and Mirage 2000 fighters and in the Boeing 777 airliner.

An anonymous reader writes: With recent news about certain industries giving people problems for even legal use of torrent clients and various instances of government snooping etc, I'm wondering how one can stay anonymous and still (without being a jerk abusing the TOR system) being able to download/upload large files?
