So to sum up, Pandora pays 5 times as much as a radio, and Pandora has an actual measurable user base, whereas radio is just a statistical extrapolation. And somehow, we still find the gall to complain about the rates Pandora is paying.

Now that you mention it, I can't remember when I last heard an ad on Pandora. Maybe they are doing the visual ads, but once I start it running I only go back to the tab when it shuts down.
I would prefer they do the visual ads. That way I don't have to look at them and can ignore them as I do with all advertisements. Unfortunately, audio advertisements waste my time while I ignore them while the visual ones can just be occurring while i am doing something else and still listening to music.

Nye may be a "science guy" but he's a popularizer, not a real scientist. Just an actor.

7. If gas tank 20% full and battery 20% full, hibernate mode on computer if accidentally left on and wheels are not moving. Right now if you tried to use a Gen2 prius as a backup house generator, you run the risk of bricking the system, unable to boot computer, unable to add more gas, must drag onto a flatbed and tow to Toyota to use their fancy charging system to bring the car back to life.

I guess I'd just make some different programming choices- and eventually really want to replace the computer in my Prius with one that has some added features. These features may already be available on newer models, mine is a 2006 Gen2.

Features I'd like to see:
1. The only reason to run the gas engine under 25 miles an hour should be for recharging and generating, period. EV mode only at low speed.
2. An expert mode should be available wherein "creep ahead at stop" is disabled
3. Cruise control should also be able to be set by a numeric keypad, and should be able to handle values lower than 23.
4. Sport mode should be available that disengages the traction control and enables all three motors for acceleration (you can get the second half of this in a gen2 by angrily stomping on the accelerator, it takes a second to engage, but you suddenly go from 34 HP to 174 HP as the second electric and the gas motor kick in).
5. Finer resolution than 5 minutes on the average MPG consumption graph.
6. Ability to download trip data onto an SD card.

That's probably the difference then. I had an individual plan prior to Obamacare because coverage through the company was too expensive. I paid about 1/3 of what I would have paid through my company insurance for my family. People used to complain that you couldn't get affordable insurance except through a company, but I think that was a rumor spread by the corporations to keep people from leaving them.
Unfortunately, when Obamacare came along, my previously affordable insurance went about by a factor of 4 or 5. It was still cheaper than my company's insurance plan, which also went up by about 50%, so I stayed with my individual plan, but I had to switch to a different individual plan to get it down to only 3 times the previous year's plan.

Not to mention that it shows that he is a hypocrite. While everybody in every other field gets an F because they are not an expert in his chosen field, he obviously knows nothing about the software development profession. Why does everybody have to be an expert, while not everybody has to be an expert in software development, banking, law, medicine, etc.?

In other words, don't be yourself, try to be something you are not in order to attract someone who then hopefully will be willing to settle when they find out who you really are. Brilliant! Just start the whole relationship on the basis of deception.
This works great in business. You get somebody hooked on your product with a bunch of promises and by the time they find out they are too deep in to back out. Not sure how well it works in relationships. Oh, wait, the divorce rate continues to rise even though there is a huge jump in the number of couples living together and not getting married at all. Huh, I guess founding your relationship on a lie is a bad idea after all.
