Submission + - Beatles Music to be Broadcast into Space (bbc.co.uk) 1

Firefalcon writes: "The BBC reports that the Beatles song "Across the Universe" is to be broadcast into space using the Deep Space Network at midnight (GMT) on Monday. A Yahoo article on the same subject, quotes Paul McCartney as saying "Send my love to the aliens", and Apple, one of the companies holding the rights to the Beatles music, as giving their approval because they were "always looking for new markets".

I suspect that the music will be well out of copyright by the time any little green men get to hear it though, as it will take about 431 years to reach its intended destination..."

Firefalcon writes: "The website of Nominet, the .uk domain registrar, has been inaccessible for the last 24 hours (see Netcraft's listing). While the registrar services all appear to be working, this must be an embarrassment for the organisation charged with managing the uk domain...

Does anyone know what is going on? Has this happened to any other registrar?"
