The World's Smallest Legible Font 280

hasanabbas1987 writes "From the article: 'Well 'technically' they aren't the smallest fonts in the world as if they were you wouldn't be able to read even a single letter, but, you should be able to read the entire paragraph in the picture given above... we did. A Computer science professor called Ken Perlin designed these tiny fonts and you can fit 500 reasonable words in a resolution of 320 x 240 space. There are at the moment the smallest legible fonts in the world.'"

!QAZ@WSX3edc4 Yeah I agree, I think its stupid. Also, the government mypay.gov site is horrible as well. You have to mouse click the password on a virtual keyboard with letters all scrambled. So everyone over your shoulder can see what your clicking. You click slowly because the keyboard is scrambled.

I missed about a month of multivarialbe calculus and showed up the day of the test without knowing ANYTHING. My 3 friends were studying there butts off and I said screw it, i'm programming everything in my calculator (89). I spent 4 hours hand typing all the things i would need. Step by step it would output the equations I needed. My friends thought I was crazy. I learned a lot about the test just from typing all that crap in. Well, I got a 100 on that test. Me and my friends always look back on that day and laugh.

Do you honestly think they have not thought of these things? I'm not comp sci guy but it should be fairly easy to detect a "real" observation with mouse vs. an OCD mouse mover or a an idle mouse. I mean we can detect people's lies based on there face movements, why can't we detect people's observations with a mouse movement? If I do a google search and immediatley it opens up a page with 1 advert on the top...sometimes I hover over the advert but then see the same linke right below it which is not an advert. Depending on the company I click the advert or the link. For example, if its a business I don't much care for then I want google to get paid by them for the click. If its a business I want to survive, I reduce that cost by clicking the link. I do this withing milliseconds.

The only requirement I had through highschool was to type my papers. If you didn't have a computer you could use a library computer, school computer, friends computer or a typewriter. The point is, it needs to be typed no matter what your excuse is. The real world does not need excuses. Just get the job done. Even when I took AP C++ course in HS, nobody ever required me to have a computer. This is complete BS. The kids that WANT to learn about computers will, the others don't give two shits about it. I know a 28 year old friend who doesn't even know how to email someone. She works at Home Depot and she owns her own business on the side. She also owns a 250K house from SAVING money.

I would choose the basement. Not only do you get a lot of privacy but why would management ever want to come down there. Plus its easy access out of bulding vs the top floor. If I want to go on break, I just need to climb one flight to get outside to the burger joing. Actually, I am a big fan of being around management when looking for ways to move up...but most of the time I'd rather be out of sight and out of mind.

Almost every single site I go to less than once every 2 months I have to click on "Forgt Password". I work for DoD and probablly click "Forgot Password" at least once every 2 weeks. Also, the new mypay.gov site is horrible! Now they have a virtual keyboard with random letters everywhere. It takes so long to find the letter to click on that anyone over your shoulder can easily see what your clicking on.

Solution: Blue tooth keyboard that mounts to steering wheel so that half the keys are on left side of wheel and half on right side of wheel. It is blue tooth enabled to your phone. Either mount phone on steering whell or even better have a HUD on your windshield. I would have to say it would be more likely for me to crash during texting then during reading a text. I can type without looking so get me that keyboard!!!

Yes I use a lot of short cut keys but still, I love the fact that you can just right click and get a menu. Well, I may hate Ribbons now, but our younger generation will highlight something or click something and just expect certain options to allways be there. Why go WAY up to the top to change font size when I can barley move my mouse and change it with ribbon style?

Download movies and don't save them. Download music and save them online instead of on hard drives. Right now, uploading a 90 minute video with high quailty takes 100 MB per minute or more, and thats not true HD quality either. We want to upload hours the storage adds up quick.
