Being proven wrong is a good thing in science. The more we prove wrong, the better supported our remaining hypotheses become. We need more people who come up with falsifiable theories that fit our current knowledge, so we can narrow things down further.
But yeah, the sensationalism is not doing science any favors. I cringe when I see Morgan "We only use ten percent of our brain" Freeman present Michio Kaku yet again.
Are you referring to that movie with Scarlett Johansson? Yeah, I cringed bigtime when I heard that bullshit 10% premise trotted out once again; and worse, so many kids idolize Morgan Freeman (apparent via the memes and comments on sites like memedroid), that a good number of them are likely going to believe this hook line and sinker just because he's in the movie and seems to be confused with something of an authority due to his hosting Through the Wormhole.
What is its opposite to which you refer? If you are looking for an example of people disbelieving science when it conflicts with their own religious or political views, what is the scientific doctrine that Democrats typically reject?
The AP's announcement that software will write the majority of its earnings reports, argues The Atlantic's Joe Pinsker, doesn't foretell the end of journalism
What a shame.
Certainly not while you are there.
Damn, , Bazinga..! Remind me not to get into an argument with you.
Because whether or not they would change their tune has nothing to do with their argument that unconstitutional activities are bad; it doesn't debunk it. Well, I'm not sure what your point was. Random curiosity?
Yep, actually.
The government should not violate the constitution under any circumstance.
I agree. The government has to be above board before it can expect anyone else to be.
I was just curious, and honestly a little surprised that not one person defended the IRS in this case, because of the hate of large corporations or rich people we so often see expressed here. I was just expecting it. The IRS really needs to be overhauled. Though I'd also like to see this accountant slip up again in the future so he can be nabbed legally, because he's a dirtbag.
