I'm all for looking at decriminalizing drug use, but wikipedia seems to disagree with you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_policy_of_Portugal#Results
But is'nt that just a matter of time? Network throughput will most like increase much faster than size of jpegs(due to higher resolution displays), so give it 10 years and it doesn't really matter much whether you use jpeg or png speedwise.
Yes, they were using actual WoW data files, including player and enemy models, sound effects and all that. That is clearly infringing on copyrighted material.
If the server host had bought a copy of the game for each server, where is the copyright infringement? I know that there might be some EULA problems, if you live a place where those won't be laughed out of court, but I have a hard time seeing what is so bad here if the copy of the data files on the server is not pirated.
I just answer the phone, asks them to hang on for a second, and then just deposit the phone somewhere silent, like my bedroom, and wait for them to hang up. My current record is 7 minutes and 49 seconds.
This makes it as expensive for them to call me as possible with me just spending 5 seconds of my time.
Unfortunately, as Iran, Afghanistan and North Korea have demonstrated, they ARE stupid enough, and really don't care if they die for Allah or Kim or whoever.
Clearly I missed the news report of Iran, Afghanistan or Democratic People's Republic of Korea launching nukes at anyone?
Well - if c gets speeds up instead of slowing down, that would put a stop to that idea.
Yes, lets have a law that bans banning!
Only vaginae support inheritance?
Even popular games that are shipping now do not run under it: that tells me it's obsolete.
I would guess that is only because DirectX 10 is not supported on XP - and the reason, I believe, is because MS wanted to force gamers to Vista(It was kind of problematic that people that were first movers did not really move to Vista)
Few garbagemen comes up with a great idea(Google, Skype, Facebook whatever) and become really rich men. So it's not really a valid comparisation just to compare the income of an average garbageman and an average programmer. You need add the Bill Gates', Janus Friis' and Larry Page's of the world when you calculate average programmer pay!
So you think it should be perfectly legal to run into a crowd and scream "BOMB!!! HE HAS A BOMB!!!!" While you start running away with your arms flailing?
Not that THAT was the case here, but there ARE limits to "freedom of speech". You CAN say what ever you want but if what you so directly endangers the lives of others I sure hope you will be arrested.
