Nope. Common carriers can be held repsonsible for turning a blind eye to illegal traffic.
No need to dumster dive. There are plenty of OSes that support i686 cpus. DragonFly targets high end amd64 servers. Not every OS needs to target everyone.
The release anouncment makes it seem like they didn't have old or low end desktops in mind as their audience.
Firefox has had the ask-to-activate for flash for some time. Go to about:addons, select plugins from the menu on the left, and next to each plugins there is a menu where you can select ask to activate.
If he was to run a drug ring from one of those countries, extradition is a moot point as he could simply be prosecuted by local courts. Best to find a place where the officals are easy to bribe.
Nah-uh. Private browsing mode is for reading the New York Times.
Staph in your nose is unlikely to cause harm. Commensal infections of staph are very common. If it finds a way to get deeper inside your body, say through a cut, then you have a problem. If it's a resistant strain, then the antibiotics won't help you.
Read the summary? They're looking to piss off Australians here.
An application is not a standard.
A bit too late to convict anyone at this point don't you say?
There are problems with many of the forensic methods used. However, eyewitness testimony is even less reliable. The way humans recall events from episodic memory is seriously flawed. Forensic evidence is always circumstantial evidence, and should always be treated as such. That's in addition to any flaws on a particular method.
As pointed out here, this man was suspected of being the ripper before there was any DNA evidence. DNA evidence just makes the case stronger.
I still don't understand why a desktop environment would need to interact with an init system. I get that gdm would need it it to start at boot, and for things like shutting down and restarting. But why would the DE itself require a specific init system?
The classic BIOS is unable to simply load an OS. It has to load a bootloader first. On the other hand EFI can directly load Linux.
Then don't buy the problematic hardware.
Why? EFI is convient. No more need for an OS write it's bootloader to over the old bootloader. Linux supports it, FreeBSD will support it in a few months.
