Yes, and Obama was elected in 2008. So why the fuck didn't they do it then. Also, why didn't they pass an affordable care health act then as well. Because the Democrats are incapable of working together, and/or are in the same pockets of business as the Republican are. There are a lot of things they could have done in that short time. But they fucked it up.

School boards spend hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars on 'Smart Boards'. Why? Someone told me it was so they can make learning more fun, make a game of it. WTF? I can't stop thinking that these things are freakin waste of money. Money that could be spent more usefully like in paying teachers better in the U.S. (they're overpaid in Canada). Or on better facilities. Or school lunches for underprivileged kids. etc. etc. etc.

Exactly... it all depends on the audience. Early on the audience was a bunch of uber geeks who enjoyed playing with low level code and devices. Now the Linux audience are people who have everyday jobs to do and want an operating system and bundle of programs to help them do that. They don't care about building tools, just using them. And it gives them an option from MS and Apple products. Server or Desktop.

Instead of spending this level of effort on each recruit, why not hire someone who is bright in North America and train them. Have you ever stopped to consider that employees will be once again loyal to the company if the company demonstrates that they are loyal to them? People have very little loyalty any more precisely because the MBAs turned employees into 'human resources' to satisfy shareholders in the late 80s.

Then they wouldn't be able to sell iCloud as much. Same reason they don't let you easily transfer files back and forth to your PC via USB: so they can sell you something else that does. Same reason Finder sucks shit so bad, so you need to buy a file manager that works. And Apple at the very least gets a cut of everything sold from their store. Not only are Apple products overpriced, they nickle and dime you to death on everything else. The OS on its own is alright. It's all the other shit etc. that I just talked about that keeps me from buying one. PCs work fine for me. As does my Linux laptop.
