This statement concerns me: "But its chairman, Josef Fendt, said later that the track was far faster than its designers ever intended it to be." How could designers NOT be aware of how fast a person would be flying down the track? Do they not have rudimentary knowledge of physics?

Game graphics seem to be getting better and better while the games seem to be getting more and more dull. Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 are hardly games at all anymore, they are little more than movies with a fast forward button.

What bothers me, is the quote:

If it's "purely" random (as they put it), then how can you measure the difference between it and a "conventional" method? Wouldn't comparing a pseudo random source to "true" randomness be like comparing a finite number to infinity? In that you "know" it's more random, but it's impossible to quantify with a finite value (the twenty times qualifier)?

The drive includes more than 100,000 Social Security numbers and home addresses of people who visited or worked at the White House. Among those whose information is on the list is one of then-Vice President Al Gore's three daughters. The drive also contained details on the security procedures used by the Secret Service at the White House, as well as event logs, social gathering logs, political records and other information from the Clinton administration. Rep. Darrell Issa, (R-Calif.) said the Archives was in the process of converting information from the drive to a digital records system when it apparently disappeared. The hard drive was apparently removed from a secure storage area to a workplace where at least 100 'badge-holders' had access to it, Issa noted."

Blizzard knows the lengths that its fans will go to get trinkets (look at the price of Murloc cards on eBay), but their arrangement with Upper Deck simply takes advantage of the good will many fans have shown." Bear in mind that these items are purely for show off purposes and give no in-game advantage to players."
