Maybe I missed something.
Maybe I missed something.
The "review" of NASA's programs focused on studying Earth seems more like an attempt by climate-science deniers to stifle research that doesn't confirm what they want to hear, than anything to do with a supposed "turf battle with NOAA".
It would take a significant market penetration just to get to the point that night charging in this way would even offset the growth of electricity demand, let alone start counteracting the current incentives.

"Have you been the victim of recruiting spam?"
I have an account on LinkedIn, so
Which is funny/sad, because there is nothing in my linked-in profile that suggests that I'm particularly qualified for any in-demand jobs. So the spam I get is for garbage jobs, and positions for which I am obviously neither qualified nor interested.
It's almost like they even consider 11% too much... It's like they forgot why they forked to Firefox in the first place.
I'll miss "Password Maker" but I think it's really time for me to ditch it completely.
Does Chrome have anything like Firebug?
And those that are labeling a score of 39/100 "not bad at all" should have their head checked.
They did, but only 39/100 of them found anything out of whack.

Up to 17 cents cheaper per KWH (22c day, 5c night).
Assuming you blow 10kWh per day, primarily between 6am and 11pm, that's upwards of $2.20/day.
If you move your entire 10kWh load to the battery system and charge it over night, it drops you down to $0.50/day.
$1.70 savings per day. That's 2058 days to recoup the $3500 expenditure, or just a bit over 5 1/2 years. Over the ten year warranty period you'll save ~$3000, assuming electricity prices remain constant.

Meanwhile I'm lucky to get 1.2mbps off my DSL and my new place doesn't have cable or dsl access. I might be able to get 802.11n wifi, but with all likelihood I'm going to be stuck with the gawdaweful lag of a satellite.

The Argentine economy has hyperinflation and unreasonably burdensome government controls. Bitcoin hasn't "disrupted" the Argentine economy, it has made daily life possible for the average Argentinian.
Yes, from the perspective of the government, Bitcoin has made their self-destructive policies moot. It has given the populace an alternative to their collapsing fiat currency. Fortunately, however, the government doesn't get to define "the economy" - The participants in the economy do, and Argentinians have said "no thanks!" to the local Peso.
Argentina doesn't highlight the problems with Bitcoin, it exemplifies the entire raison d'etre for it!
Now if they didn't work on black people, you'd have a story, but nobody said the Watch would work over tattoos, and nobody asked either.
Actually, since you mention it, they were talking about just that issue not long ago (early last week, maybe?) before this "Tattoogate" bullshit started. Can't seem to find a link now, since it's all "tattoos" now and apparently you can't do "-keyword" in search engines anymore
Damn it. In-store only and they don't have a store within 600 miles.
Except they did deliver and the only reason for the price increase was that Craig refused to file suit against the circuit company for destroying all those boards.
Fair enough, but in the long run, you still ended up with a weak business plan (and unwillingness to engage in the unpleasant sides of business) resulting in underpowered hardware at an extremely uncompetitive price.
What's the slashdot equivalent of "shitpost?" You might have at least mentioned that it's going to have a new renderer and support for extensions, rather than just farting out a 3 sentence blurb about the name.
However, only Edge will use Microsoft’s new rendering engine of the same name.
Developers will be able to take their Chrome extensions or Firefox add-ons and, with “just a few changes,” bring them to Microsoft Edge. Belfiore demoed a Reddit extension originally built for Chrome, running on Microsoft Edge.
And yeah, the "Reddit extension" in question is RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite).
