"Climate Change" has nothing to do with actually cutting energy use for big business. It only exists for big business to profit from trading carbon credits, etc. The price will be paid by the consumer, in the form of higher prices for everything you buy. Startup companies will soon be a thing of the past (except for stupid social networking/advertising companies), as only large established monopolies will be able to afford the required environmental impact fees.

While there certainly are H1Bs from various nations who are very talented and capable, they are not the ones that will be willing to work for peanuts. Someone who is good at what they do and in demand is smart enough to know they can make more money and will demand first world pay. The H1Bs that will work for peanuts are either low-skilled or just don't have much experience and will leave your cheapass company just as soon as someone else offers them a little more money which won't take long. Any way you slice it, top talent requires top pay. Companies that just want cheap labor will be forever surprised when their projects are constantly behind schedule and low quality.

An Al Qaeda member named Anwar al-Awlaki is not an American citizen in any meaningful way. Killing him was perfectly acceptable. American citizens have fought against their own country in previous wars too, only you didn't hear about it. They were killed with no trial and no fanfare, because that's the way war works.

Chicago residents have zero interest in individual rights and freedom. In fact, the very idea frightens them. They would much rather have the government take care of them and tell them what to do. This is why every Chicago incumbent (all Democrats) gets reelected as long as they are interested in running. People here have no desire for reform, as they are either getting something from "the system" or think they will be too.

Once I realized this, a lot of things that were previously a mystery all of a sudden became clear.
