There isn't an extra tax. Domestic partners health premiums cannot be paid pretax like a spouse or child's can. The part of the premium for the partner is considered income (imputed income).

I understand your point regarding incompetence, but the only reason we know about this is because this is a government agency. If it was private company the public would have no idea. You could make an argument regarding hiring standards between the government and private companies, but based on my experience private companies hire lazy and incompnent employees as well. Where is the public report from a Health Care company where mistakes cost hundreds of premium paying customers money or time to recoupe money due to sloppiness on the insurance company? Or worse, where are the reports where people were delayed necessary procedures? You won't see it because it is a private company. I agree the government may not do a great job managing heathcare, but this is not a valid example.

Were you using component cables and had the video set for 480p? With the Componet cables and 480p it looks pretty good to me. Not like my PS3 but pretty good. Metriod, Smash Brothers, and Punch Out look good for only 2x the hardware of a Gamecube.

I found the same issue with a slot cooler way back when I had a Radeon 9800. However, I found that leaving an empty slot between the cooler and the video card did make it 5 degrees celsius cooler under load. Worked great if you don't need the slots.

There are plenty of companies that offer a database like this. I believe CCH is one of them. I've used one to integrate into a web shopping cart application because the company I was working for had a nexus in several states.

Do you use Process Explorer? Running Process Explorer and even after closing it triggered something in SecuROM that would prevent Heroes V from running. Newer versions of Process Explorer do not cause the issue though.

My favorite story is when I first showed my mom how to use a mouse. She wanted the cursor to go up on the screen so she lifted the mouse off the pad. It kind of made sense if you hadn't used a mouse before, but it was still hilarious.
