If gay marriage is just a symptom, and the important, terrible, horrible thing that is truly happening is yet more expansion of government power, what the fuck does gay marriage have to do with this?

Oh wait, I finished the article and followed some of his links.

Meh, he's no Alex Jones.

Yawn.

I am not disagreeing with that in any way.

Except you are. You're still playing that fashionable "we're all sheep" routine that does as much to discourage participation in the system as any rule-flouting oligarch.

The painful truth is that the current western obsession with unrepresentative corporatist duopolies has almost nothing to do with concentrations of wealth and power, but more to do with the fact that your average human being wants to go through life with as little fuss as possible.

Up until relatively recently, the system was very good at that. Now that we're entering resource scarcity fun times, things are going to change, just not for the better.

Jeb can't even get nominated, and if you'd been paying attention, you'd have noticed he's acting like it. I get the sense he's actually gearing up for 2020 myself.

Up until a few months ago, it was Hillary vs Christie, but now I have no idea. At this rate, it's going to be Ryan or Cruz if the GOP still can't get its shit together.

Negatory. TV and newspapers have long been in the business of selling you to their advertisers. Any actual entertainment or news produced as a result is simply a happy accident.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fb fan (don't even have an account), but bagging on them for doing what every multimedia conglomerate has been doing for decades seems a little silly.

Yes, we know Google is an advertising company. Yes, we know nearly every single product and service in Google’s massive portfolio is used in part to collect personal data from the company’s massive user base. Yes, we know that data is then used to build profiles of each Google user. And yes, we know those profiles are used to serve targeted advertisements. But if Google is "evil," then being evil truly is fantastic for users...
