That benchmark is old. OpenMP support for Clang was announced last week.

OpenBSD 10 hasn't been released yet, so it is premature to say that "BSD users are the loser here".
The fabathome.org 3D printer is open source, has been available for years, and can print a wide range of materials, including conductors. It's never really taken off, probably due to having lower resolution than the popular FDM printers that print with melted plastic. But if you want a home printer that can print objects with a range of materials, including conductors, check it out.
I'm paying $25 for a kilogram of 3D-printable ABS filament. A kilogram of gallium is probably close to $1000, based on prices I've seen on ebay.
There's nothing in that list (with the possible exception of "being forced to use a specific technology") that wouldn't apply to just about any worker.

I thought we were post-PC! Where are the tablets that are supposedly taking over the world?
Does anyone get the feeling that if Apple was rumoured to be working on a shoe phone, Microsoft would immediately start doing the same?
I'm more interested in how many people are using PCs - I couldn't really care less how many new PCs are sold.
PCs last longer than they used to. Single-threaded performance isn't increasing anymore and multiple threads aren't being used that much, meaning performance gains are no longer a major reason for upgrades.
Also, a lot of what would have been laptop sales are now tablet sales.
Are you sure that's the right term? Somehow I doubt it's actually a recording
Yahoo has mobile applications? o.O
Moonlight is just reflected sunlight, you just need more of it to make the colours come out.
E.g. see http://www.flickr.com/photos/dansdata/3074862610/ for an example - this photo was taken under a full moon, 30 second exposure.
If there's a domesticated species taking advantage of humans my money's definitely on cats rather than dogs.
It depends what you do and how you work I guess. For me, two monitors is ideal - IDE maximized on one, and help file / reference emails / IRC windows etc on the other.
Remember though that current 30" monitors have the same horizontal res (2560) as the 27s - only the vertical res is (slightly) higher.
Dell U2711 or similar. 2560x1440 for great number of pixels, and if you want to use a higher DPI you still get a decent amount of information on screen.
I've tried 30" monitors and they were just too big, but for me 2x27" is perfect.
