I also transferred my domains to Namecheap this week. I was happy to leave Godaddy not only because of the SOPA mess but because their interface is garbage anyway. Namecheap feels like a more modern approach to services both from a design and marketing perspective. I don't need my registrar to be flashy - just be easy to use, communicate well, and be competitive. Namecheap definitely has already won me over and I expect to stay there for many years.

We've seen prices crash in many media markets due to increased availability and competition due to the increased deployment of broadband.
But the cable/satellite industry is apparently still recouping their costs of infrastructure that was deployed and payed for over and over again by subscribers with very little options.
I'd like to know that with an increase in the amount of available sources for entertainment that standard television will be coming down in price - but it just doesn't seem that way.
The price for cable subscriptions is absolutely ridiculous considering the entire industry is not open.

Sorry I'd prefer to spend more time with this one - I've seen a big rant on CNN.com recently about the same thing and all I can think of is... What ISNT broke about television?

I'm a fan of VMware but clearly any competition - and specifically, the more robust the competition gets the better the pricing models will be for the end users.

Right now we have very little if any issues with our virtual infrastructure - although View could use some work (we're still on 4.0 though...). VMware's support is excellent. Their tools are excellent. Their online documentation is excellent. Other than $ there wouldn't be a lot of motivation to start shopping for another vendor anytime soon.

But I also trust and expect that VMware will continue to be cutting edge in the VM sphere since it's the focus of their business (vs. Microsoft - who's focus is who the hell knows these days).

I'd suggest that privatizing (i.e. reverting back to the way things were pre-9/11) would be a step in the right direction. The TSA just oozes a feeling of wasteful spending.

Private security contract firms would be subjected to reviews by the check-writers more frequently and while it would still be a mandatory budgeted item it would be under that local scope so I would still imagine more fiscally responsible spending would be present.

I bought the HTC Thunderbolt primarily for the OS and the market that comes with it. Apple and Google are the two dominant players because of their market/store not because of the OS alone. If HTC came up with a spectacular "killer-app" and gave WebOS exclusivity in some fashion than it might have a chance of people caring about it.

Google+ seems to me to be more likely to compete with or duplicate posts from Twitter than Facebook. Facebook just has so much garbage on it I don't understand why anyone would be encouraged to use that site. Either way, I like the competition - it has the potential to cull advertisement whoring.

My 2c.
