Journal Journal: We Need Something Different

My first exposure to Keith Olbermann was through Sunday night football where he is the latest non-football guy to talk football. In his 12DEC06 commentary, K.O. indites Bush and Cheney for incompetence or negligence in dealing with the latest NIE report on Iran. It is 8 minutes long. Watch it. I found this on http://www.crooksandliars.com/, which has transcripts and links to videos in WMV, MOV formats and on youtube. Just search on Olbermann (both places.) I decided to search on youtube and found a bounty of eight minute tirades. While you are waiting for your raid party to show, you should watch him lambaste Bill O'Reily. If you have more time, peruse the whole collection.

Journal Journal: Support our troops

Regardless to whether you agree or diagree with why they are they, US Troops (along with many others) are stuck out in the sandbox. They have a job that does not always allow them to pick and choose where and what they can do. US soldiers go to great lengths in an effort to carry on a semblance of normalcy. Thanks to Penny-Arcade, I found another story of soldiers trying to be normal. They are our people and could use our help.

Journal Journal: FedEx

You know, I just do not understand delivery companies. Why deliver to residences during business hours? The US is the home of the two income household. How much money is lost driving deliveries to residences during the hours people are least likely to be home? And then there is this:

Feb 21, 2007 2:12 PM Delivery exception - Customer not available or business closed
Feb 20, 2007 4:06 PM Delivery exception - Customer not available or business closed
Feb 19, 2007 9:08 AM Delivery exception - Customer not available or business closed

Is there any pattern to the drop off time here at all? How am I supposed to predict when my package will appear? Oh, and thank you for leaving a note the second time you tried to drop off my package, not the first.

Journal Journal: Do not feed the trolls

It is absolutle amazing how much people feed the trolls. What is more amazing is how you can flamebait so hard, that people cannot see beyond the fury in their blood shot eyes and you transistion back around into being a troll. It is my new passion.

Journal Journal: What is excellent karma worth...

What is excellent karma worth if my entire subnet has been diabled? I found out a while a go that I can no longer post to slashdot.

It appears that you share your subnet with trolls, sorry.

You can see my posting history...ANYONE can see my posting history. So what is the point? I would appreciate it if all the 12 year olds out there on my subnet would shut their mouths until they were done slopping at the trough that is pop culture. Then I can get my slasdot fix the proper way - by posting comments to stories.

That being said, if you do not like taxes and you live in the US, consider an alternative. Take a look. It is an alternative to complaining and maybe it will do something for your stress level.

Journal Journal: You guys are not even trying anymore!!!

What the hell is this supposed to be?!?" Are you serious? I guess this is just a viscous slashdot cycle. So who stopped reading stories and started with mindless posts first? First I thought it was the comment quality of slashdot going down. Now I can see the editing is taken a hit as well. What is left? Come on, CowboyNeal. Are story submissions truly that far backed up? An anonymous coward submitted the story! Maybe your crap detector should start going off if someone has no desire to take credit for a story submission. What the hell, man!
