The only problem with naming satellites after early astronomers is that when I read the headline, there is a moment where I think "wait -- isn't he dead?"
I've got 20 inches and it's still going.
Four inches five times does not mean you've got 20 inches.
No, it all came down to price, not multitasking. There was never an argument that CLI was better than a GUI except from neckbeards and bean counters. Average slobs knew the GUI was better. It took from 1984 until the early 90's for the hard to get cheap enough to tolerably run a GUI OS.
Jet fuel is to gasoline what gasoline is to diesel. It burns very quickly which as you can imagine makes it useful for an engine of this type.
Jet fuel is actually so much closer to diesel (and heating oil) than you imagine. Now, I know nothing about jet engines, but I did know that. Mainly because I tend to remember "interesting but useless facts". Link to Wikipedia
Give me a factory and a team of engineers from the 1860s
Typo? 1960, I buy, but in 1860? Not so sure... The birth of the car is generally put at 1886.... The Wright Brothers did they first powered flight in 1903.
And yet somehow we survived with these 10,000 people with connections to subversive organizations roaming freely in our midst. Amazing.
Dear ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES: *THIS* is why we don't want you to have infinite surveillance. Because those 10,000 people you had files on did EXACTLY NOTHING. You want to wiretap someone, go get some ACTUAL FUCKING EVIDENCE. Not just "he read this book and knows this guy and likes to encrypt his files."
But... but... but... open!
So a customer 'bought' a busted phone. Not getting updates is one of the downsides. Buy unlocked or from a different carrier.
Well it's all they had decades ago, when they used to be on the outside of the mainstream; all they could do is cobble together disparate voting blocs. Which, as I understand it, didn't always mesh, as I seem to recall hearing that some Dem conventions of a while ago weren't exactly models of unity. But the constant beating into their constituents of the message that Republicans hate and are out to get all of them, and that you can't make it without the Left, whether you're Black, gay, trans-this-or-that, Latino, female, drug-addicted, whatever else, finally worked. And the promise to steal other people's money for them, of course.
But I had a question in my previous post that I'd like to offer you a chance to comment on again. You hold out hope that America can be turned around, but how do you envision that possibly occuring:
So what could possibly cause the populace (the citizenry plus the non-citizenry, that is) to want to get more involved in standing up to corruption and the slide Leftward.
Notably, this was accomplished before the negative feedback amplifier was invented in 1927.
It would be interesting if the survey was presented in other developed nations.
Pesticide application is "reduced" because the GMO corn is pumping out it's own pesticide. Not directly dangerous to humans but the systemic threat it represents to beneficial insects is real.
The purpose of a free press is to promote a knowledgeable society. If the agenda is to stomp out the stupidity of the masses and their dangerous influence over lawmakers then yes, I welcome these agenda-toting muckrakers of truth with open arms.
If you have a procedure with 10 parameters, you probably missed some.
