Submission + - JDK 7 to be delayed (yet again) (sun.com)
CloudShape writes: Another bit of fallout from the Oracle takeover of Sun. It turns out that the Sun developers working on the next JDK have spent the last few months running around in a panic and/or advising Oracle lawyers on how to sue Google, instead of doing something useful. They're now canvassing for opinions on whether they should: (A) release JDK 7 in mid-2012 (yes — 2012), or (B) release what they've got as JDK 7 Lite in mid-2011, then release the bits that haven't been done yet as JDK 8 at the end of 2012. I voted for Plan B, as the better of two poor choices. What do you think?
