What makes you think humans can forever "move on" to more complex tasks once machines start doing their job? Farming and manufacturing is one thing, but what if computers completely replace white collar work? What if the displaced workforce don't find anything else to do, not in one nor in three generations? What will we have them? A 1% owning elite and a 99% pariah caste?

The Constitution is the law, and it has not been rewritten. The government can obey the Constitution, it can rewrite the Constitution, or it can completely ignore the Constitution and the rule of law. It has chosen the last option.

You're forgetting that the Constitution is interpreted by the judiciary - a separate Power in practice, but part of the same shit these days. The government can thus do whatever they want, and have SCOTUS rule that it was all within the Constitution.

You have death penalty in the US. And CIA-sanctioned extrajudicial torture. And lots of children-killing drones that rain death all over Pakistan, Yemen and Afghanistan, among others. And if you're convicted in your late teens for, say, smoking pot, your life is pretty much ruined forever, thanks to the eternal stain that won't let you get an education or a decent job, therefore making sure you remain in poverty ad aeternum.

Is that somehow less barbaric than what Saudi Arabia does? Please explain how.

... if you've made the kind of choices where the navy is firing at you, it's probably not a big loss to humanity if we have to kick you off the planet.

It's funny that you mention that, on the 25th anniversary of yet another senseless massacre by your beloved US Navy:

"On 3 July 1988 (...) the aircraft serving the [Iran Air 655] flight, an Airbus A300B2-203, was shot down by U.S. missiles fired by the United States Navy guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes as it flew over the Strait of Hormuz. The aircraft, which had been flying in Iranian airspace over Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf on its usual flight path, was destroyed. All 290 onboard, including 66 children and 16 crew, perished".

I hope it's not too late for you to reconsider the choices you've made in life. Otherwise, I'll settle for you dying a horrible, slow death.
