I used a Galaxy S3 with 4.3 for about 2 years and was quite happy with it for the most part.
I picked up a used Galaxy Note II from someone at a very very reasonable price, it shipped with 4.3 and I updated it to the very latest build of 4.4 available for that model.

It ran well, was surprisingly snappy for basically the same phone (plus 1GB more memory) and then all my god damn fucking tools went haywire because of some dipshits policy change on MicroSD card usage. EVEN WITH ROOT AND SD CARD FIXES, the functionality of data stored on the SDcard is reduced. This is causing me major headaches as an advanced user.

I've got Titanium Backup doing a scripted full backup at 2am (if charging) and then I've got a great app called FolderSync doing an SMB via Wifi upload of the ENTIRE /phone/ and ENTIRE /sdcard/ to my NAS. It ensures I have a complete backup of the phone, in full. This all went tits up with 4.4 though.

Google have turned into Apple, enforcing shitty policies at their own whim. Combine that with the ghastly adoption of "material design" (all looks flat, colourless, no shades, no borders and offten no text labels) plus killing off old useful services, seriously - fuck them.

I was under the impression that my private business with my cellular phone provider was just that, private, and without a warrant this information in the form of 'papers and effects' was supposed to be subject to 4th Amendment protections unless sought via warrant process...

It's only outdated if you don't want a dedicated device for time. Some of us do want or need such a device, preferably one that doesn't need to be recharged every 24 hours, do a bunch of shit we don't care about, and occupy half of our lower arms. A nice looking watch is also a fashion statement; I'm not talking Rolex level (although you can certainly do that), just something that looks halfway decent and goes with most of your wardrobe.

There's still a market for dedicated devices. What does a smartwatch give me? Don't need it for fitness, it will never compete with a decent runner's watch for durability and ease of use. Don't want it for time, my real watch is less cumbersome and has a battery life measured in years. Can't do anything productive (e-mails, shopping lists, etc.) with it that I can't do better with my smartphone. Directions? That might be an argument, but again, how is the watch better than my phone? I've gotten around foreign cities where I don't speak the local language using my phone and Google Maps. Where's the game changer in doing the same with my watch?

This saving being bad for the economy thing is based on the premise that spending is what drives the economy and not investing. This is the same idea that drives massive spending, debt bubbles, and artificially low interest rates. How's that been working out for us?

The fair tax will increase incomes, not decrease it. And for the poor that means more money to take home and all the essentials are tax free due to the prebate. The rest is choosing whether to save the money and improve their future prospects or pay the same tax that they would have paid on their income but at the purchasing end instead.

And yes, you are a troll because it's quite easily explained as a garden variety mistake due to careless programming. An unsigned 32 bit integer can hold up to 4 billion. 4 billion milliseconds is about 49.7 days. 4 billion sounds "big enough"-- but it isn't when we're talking milliseconds. And clearly, a Windows box COULD stay up that long, or else the bug would never have been discovered.

I've activated at LEAST 150 to 200 Windows 7 keys on my IP in Australia over the past 3 years (re-building one of my 4 machines regularly, friends and machines I also sell)

There's only ONE thing which Microsoft should be focusing on here.

Period, that's it - is the key valid? Not being used a second time? Yes or no, period. Doesn't matter if he or she activates 1 or 1000 codes, for fucks sake.
