Apparently, foreign teams, or teams with foreign members will NOT be eligible for money.

Teams foreign and domestic may compete in the challenge, although teams that include foreign nationals who are not permanent residents of the United States may not receive prize money for these competitions. The sole exception is for U.S based educational institutions, which may have up to 50% foreign national students on their teams. No team members may be from countries listed on the NASA list of designated countries.

You really should consider getting coal=>methane conversion going. You can bury the excess CO2. Interestingly, if Germany and Poland were to tap their coal in this fashion, they could provide all of Europe.

Ideally, America would tap our coal and convert into methane that we can use to keep our prices down, but also export to any nations that Russia decides to screw with.

1) get rid of your politicians. They are as bad as the neo-cons/tea* here in America. These bastards have made us dependent on China. Really bad IDEA.
2) Ideally, your nation would change their approach to AE. The best thing is to require that all new buildings under 5 stories have enough on-site Alternative energy that EQUALS the amount of energy used for your HVAC (with Heating AND COOLING). In general, that will mean Solar. BUT, it could be others. However, this would get builders to focus on insulation and cheaper means of heating/cooling.
3) if you are in an older building, then consider a new home. Otherwise, focus on insulation.

4) Finally, Buy a Nissan leaf, or better, a Tesla. If you do that, it sends a message to ALL car makers that you want electric. At the same time, if you have Solar on your roof, you can rig things so that several circuits are able to run during the daytime via solar, but then run at nighttime, via your electric car. Yes, you can use your electric car as a back-up.

Did I mention that you should get rid of your politicians? Sadly, we just voted back in the same fuckers that put us in bed with Communists.

Yes, Home Depot offshored significant amounts of their admin. THis allows India to work on the computers in the middle of the night. However, like target, and the others, it enables ppl that have NO VESTED INTEREST in the company, or the nation, to have access to production.

This will continue as long as companies continue to cheat.

China can and does restrict whatever they want.
They can stop the export, or the import.
That is why the real issue is NOT about the mining (we have reserves in western nations that have been found).
The question is, will be bring processing in-house, which is important to the whole process.

Interesting argument. The issue here is that the west continues to drop their CO2, while many other nations, esp. China, grow their CO2 emissions faster than the west drops.
Now, you can scream about we are going to die (not likely), BUT, the idea of focusing your efforts on nations that ARE dropping their emissions, while you choose to ignore those that are growing it faster than the drop, is pretty damn stupid.
