What's wrong with this is that the gun loving Quebecois aren't taking God's word that pi is 3.

He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it. 2 Chronicles, chapter 4 verse 2.

So, did they measure around the rim, or some other part of the Sea? And disregarding all of that, this was several thousand years ago and now we have some other primitive method which is 3% more accurate and we are going to try to use that as proof that God's word is wrong?

I don't know about a Ferrari, but I had a Lotus Esprit and the insurance on it was about the same for a year as I paid for a month for my other cars. I had to drive it less than 7,000 miles a year, but it was full coverage.

That's true. You're much better off getting drunk and running down pedestrians. They'll let you keep your license until you've mowed down at least a dozen and then won't throw you in jail until you've mowed down a dozen more.

I don't know about California, but in Oklahoma a speeding ticket is going to cost you at least $200. If you avoid two tickets a year, it would pay for itself in 12.5 years.
Of course, I'm a grown up now, and not as likely to be pulled over at any rate. I haven't been pulled over in about 8 years and haven't had a ticket in about 20.

An agnostic lacks a belief in a god. An Atheist actively believes that god does not exist. It's right there in the word: Agnostic - I don't know if there is a god. Atheist - There is no god.

Funnily enough, you seem to have an unwavering devotion to your own belief system.

How is that funny? Everybody has to believe something. I believe I'll have another drink.
I don't have an unwavering belief in my belief system, but I do have pretty strong faith which can only be moved by evidence to the contrary. I'm not going to refuse to sit in a chair on the assumption that somebody might come along and provide evidence that it doesn't exist.

Atheists really need to be lumped in with religious people, because they display the same characteristics. An unwavering devotion to their belief system and a need to convert others to that belief system. Fundamentalist religions and fundamentalist atheists go one step further; they don't even want to convert anybody. they just want them to die. In the last 50 years or so, we haven't had any atheists of this extreme in positions of power, fortunately. But there are political systems run by various religions that will happily kill you if you don't believe what they believe, without giving you even the opportunity to consider switching religions.
An atheist believes there is no God or gods. They can only "believe" this. They must have faith in this. They cannot prove this, because science, which the atheists believe in, cannot prove or disprove a philosophical argument. So the atheist is left with only faith in the non-existence of god or gods.
Give me an agnostic any day of the week over an atheist or any other religious nut. At least an agnostic is scientific about it. They don't know whether there is a God, and they can't prove it one way or the other. Neither can anybody else, but at least the agnostics accept the fact.

Even if companies did offer three years of compensation, by the time you got to the end of that three years, you would be three years out of date and three years out of a job, and would be lucky to get a job for half of what you were getting paid previously. This is not fair to the employee either. The company would have to compensate you for the three years plus COLA, plus typical raises and bonuses that you got for three years and then continue to pay you at half that rate plus COLA, raises and bonuses for the remainder of your professional career. Or, perhaps they could take the quick way out and just offer you a one time cash settlement. $2 million ought to be reasonable for a typical $100,000 job.
