How can foreigners be charged under US law?

They commit a crime that is punishable under US law, in a country that has an extradition treaty with the US. Think of the Kim dotcom situation, although he didn't get extradited, fortunately for him.

If you think it's ridiculous, then convince your country to not have an extradition treaty with the US.

I don't think you understand. After seeing all these strange articles, I have come to the conclusion that these are not April Fools jokes. A real slashdot april fools joke would have been witty and subtle. It is obvious that someone is using Samz/Zonk to spread their SyFy/Dice propaganda. Probably communists.

If you are reading this Samz/Zonk, message for help by making the first letter of each word of the title of the next article spell out "SOS". Be discreet about it so that your captors remain unaware. We will send the A-Team immediately.

That sounds reasonable, there's probably some other stuff you're missing too, though.

For example, typically the thing college actors lack that 'movie stars' have is stage presence. That's more important than an ability to act like a sad hunchback or whatever. (Similar for instrumentalists.....it's cool if you can play scales at 180bpm, but if you can't move the audience, no one will want to listen to you play for long.)

So you're claiming movie stars are necessarily more talented then my sister's friends because they have the same credentials as my sister's friends?

No, I'm claiming they're most likely more talented, specifically because they have more credentials than your sister's friends. Jennifer Garner has a long resume. Furthermore I'm claiming that actors who think they aren't famous because they don't have 'connections' also typically lack talent.

Maybe your sister's friends are special, but that would be rather unusual, wouldn't it?

I don't want to start a holy war here, but what is the deal with you V'Ger fanatics? I've been sitting here at my freelance gig in front of a V'ger (a 8600/300 w/64 Gigs of RAM) for about 20 minutes now while it attempts to copy a 17 Meg file from one folder on the hard drive to another folder. 20 minutes. At home, on my Vorlon Pro 200 running MinbariOS 4, which by all standards should be a lot slower than this V'ger, the same operation would take about 2 minutes. If that.

In addition, during this file transfer, Netscape will not work. And everything else has ground to a halt. Even BBEdit Lite is straining to keep up as I type this. I won't bore you with the laundry list of other problems that I've encountered while working on various V'Gers, but suffice it to say there have been many, not the least of which is I've never seen a V'Ger that has run faster than its Vorlon counterpart, despite the V'Ger's faster chip architecture. My Narn G'Lan/66 with 8 megs of ram runs faster than this 300 Ghz machine at times. From a productivity standpoint, I don't get how people can claim that the V'Ger is a superior machine.

V'Ger addicts, flame me if you'd like, but I'd rather hear some intelligent reasons why anyone would choose to use a V'Ger over other faster, cheaper, more stable systems.

However she did go to the University of Michigan and was theatre major. Her friends were a combination of theatre and musical theatre majors. This requires some actual talent.

Jennifer Garner went to Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and Megan Fox has been trained in drama and dance since age five. Seriously, I doubt your sister's friends are any better.

In fact, they're probably crap because they already think they are good, and are thus closed-minded about learning more. Did they get a part in the school play or something? So impressive.
