"Let them eat cake" was the first words that entered my mind when Obama told a nation of unemployed "It's time to get back to work".

Sorry, but government spending by EVERY administration over several decades, bad business practices by the major corporations, and the exodus of jobs overseas to sweat shops are the issues. Bailout money was the worst thing that could happen. When a major player goes out in a blaze of glory, it creates a vacuum and that vaccuum WILL be filled by someone with better business sense that is probably #2 in the industry. It'd be painful in the beginning with the rotation of jobs, but it's a hell of a lot better than just handing billions to the guys at the top who haven't figured out debits are supposed to outweigh credits on the ledger.

I remember a time when companies like Iomega, Nike and certain clothing manufacturers caught major heat for using "sweat shops" overseas and things like "stay in school or you'll end up on welfare" meant something.
