All he did was use a web scraper with some code to handle captchas and to create a new user account when he was logged out by the site. Yes, a complete methodology would be better but it still is interesting to read what he did. I wouldn't quote his research in anything serious, but it is still interesting. Looks like he will be posting the code for is scraper to github, without the SilkRoad parts which I don't really understand why. Take it for what it is I guess, a good collection of observations for watercooler chat.
I don't know. But I created an empty shell Facebook account, my only facebook account, because it is the only way to access a slingbox on Linux. The FB Slingbox app works great. I never created a shell Google acct.
I believe myself to be practical man who doesn't easily succumb to the latest in gadgetry. But a manual drill? That's pushing it. I will get off your lawn now.
If I really need to connect my toaster to the internet then I deserve to buy a new one every 2 years.
Which would drive more people to alternative energy. Vicious cycle. Energy companies can also cut costs by closing power plants and tightening supply. They can also diversify into manufacturing and supporting alternative energy installations. Ok well that last point will need less dinosaurs in the corner offices.
Just wait for the tidal wave of the "internet of crappy things".
Have you seen the selection to Canadians. I would say they already do not server Canada.
After years of watching the mess that is the CRTC, I have come to the conclusion that if they don't like it then I probably should.
Well we only had one Beer story today, so I nominate BeerCrypt. Because we all love beer and crypto. It's a no brainer and the quicker you bring Cipher-Shed behind the wood shed the better. Let Mcafee have Endpoint and Microsoft have BitLocker. Nice catchy names to make the most hard assed CEO blush and gush. BeerCrypt. You know you want it.
Think of the advantages for the deaf and hard of hearing (combined with a HUD). That alone tells me we should develop it. NSA are gonna NSA. Terrorists are going to terrorize. This type of technology has the potential to change countless lives, and for that reason alone we should.
I agree and it is important to test the assumptions. But there is room for common sense as well in the face of so many contradictory reports in regards to nutrition.
I would think fruits, vegetables, grains and meat/protein products that come from one mother are good stuff. Water is the only beverage your body needs. The rest starts bordering on crap.
How do you handle eating low carb for extended periods? Meat, cheese, eggs, pork rinds. I knew a guy that lost 100lbs eating like that. Other things as well, not just those foods, but the key was to keep his carbs at about 30gm as day.
I am lucky, high metabolism and eat a healthy diet anyway, but I could not imagine eating heavy type foods like that in those quantities.
It's math. Burn more calories than you consume. Impossible when watching 40hrs or TV a week stuffing your face with crap.
