Submission + - Where to find a customizable sunrise and sunset calendar? 1

wideBlueSkies writes: I've a little hobby of tracking the sunrise and sunsets and tides in my area (NYC). Basically I've been doing this with a spreadsheet sourced from 2 different places, merged by date.

I'd like to somehow turn this data into a wall calendar, along with the moon phases, and the usual smattering of holidays I can't seem to find any one calendar that has it all. An additional requirement is that I want to add personal meaningful days, (wedding anniversary, my kid's birthday, etc).

Does anyone know where I could find something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Happy Birthday /. . I've had membership for I think 10 years now, and was lurking for 3 or 4 before that. Things have changed a bit, but this is still one of my favorite sites on the intertubes.

Kind of a cool problem. I suppose that short of altering the moon's orbit, someone is going to have to build adjustments into the software... Would that even be possible? Such adjustments or approximations might invalidate results.

Oh the hell with it.... I'm tired of thinking logically today. I need a beer.

This is easy. make the fucking thing available for download every week. (I"m assuming it isn't). Charge $5.99 an ep, or offer a subscription for a full season.

Do something..... most people will indeed go the legal route and pay for the show. I would.

I don't want HBO, but I live at my buddy's house on Sunday nights when this show is on. I'd gladly pay for it.

The dummies running these media companies just don't get it.. even now after all these years they are still clueless.

Look at the Blood and Chrome debacle. Are you fracking kidding me? Sci-Fi** won't air THAT show? They're clueless if they think they won't get viewership and a secondary market for downloads.

NO. I'm not a fan of robots.

It sounds like a sci-fi statement, doesn't it?

But I hate em'. I hate automated phone response, and i hate self serv checkouts in stores, among other things. Specifically because they replace people.

I'm also not a big fan of the crowd in Chennai taking my calls either......

Ah but you see, people don't like talking to automation.

Even the friendly ones that get my account # right when I speak it in, are just plain freaky. It's not a replacement for a human interaction.. I like hearing the sound of a chuckle or some smalltalk while someone looks up my stuff. And these days, I feel good when it actually happens. It means that someone has a job.

Former hard core gamer here.

I gave up. I got sick of being treated like a criminal every time I tried playing a game. "Insert CD 1 to play". What bullshit.

I can only register a game to 1 computer? Even more bullshit.

So I stopped.

That's right, I quit feeding the industry my $$$, years ago. I think the last game I bought was Unreal Tournament - when it was new.

I considered Spore when it was being hyped as something new and different. It wasn't. And the copy protection there gave new meaning to the words "stay away from that shit".

Fuck you game publishers. Now you get none of my money.

It's more well spent these days anyway. More money for books....
