Does "maths" sound similarly wrong to US ears? (Ok, not _wrong_, but you know what I mean)
Until I started chatting regularly with some gamer buddies in the UK, yes, it sounded rather odd. I dealt with it the same way you do.
fopen() -> fjopen() but fclose()->jfclose()?
Rasmus, is that you?
People were okay with them having a Gay Pride Day years ago and celebrating homosexuality in an environment largely dominated by children, and they're only now worth fucking because they dared fire American workers
Might be because these things are only comparable if you've got the intellectual capacity of a moth.
Old CRT TVs used to drive me freaking nuts with that.
Which category does the "why the hell does that even work" code fall into?
. If they don't, then they're not UI experts.
They're not. "Usability Experts" these days are using "UX", to differentiate them from the people who actually understand such useless concepts as "use cases" and "suitability to purpose."
Maybe Dice ought to hire some of those "usability" experts advertised on their main site.
Who do you think came up with the changes in the first place?
Chill out, dude. No one expected the UTC Inquisition.
Not sure if you're livving up to your username or what, but that's not true.

Dice, SF, and slashdot genuinely fuck up frequently enough that we can do quite well without the histrionics and bogus accusations.
But what's the upside?
Submitter doesn't have to figure out how exceptions work.
Weird, I didn't know that the Unseen University HAD a CS department.
I always figured Mr. Stibbons was just a Tenured Graduate Student.
Awesome tip.
Too bad DDG doesn't support anything similar.
Is there a Godwin's law for unnecessarily dragging an otherwise apolitical topic into the political arena?
I only ask because this is a clear violation of [insert that law].
Technically, if it was analogous to Godwin's Law ("As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1"), this would be a manifestation of that law.
Learned something new today.
