It's my way of immediately knowing to take what follows with a grain of salt. I have numerous fanboys in my list as well.
Increasing taxes rarely, if ever, results in a net increase in revenue.
Unless you're increasing taxes on those who barely pay anything and just like big bank accounts as an extension of their penises. Like, say, Wall Street executives that pretend there is money where there is none and make everyone pay their million dollar bonuses.
You could always do what other democratic countries do and change the constitution, even by referendum you'd like. It's not the ten commandments and set in stone, you know...
It doesn't seem that your governments will have many checks and balances in a few decades, at this rate.
