Wearable, like Google glass or smart watches are a step toward a very integrated computing experience. Although I don't believe it will be as crude or pervasive as the Borg, I think we are headed in that direction. When you can send and/or read a text, or message, by thinking it, how long till verbal communication is gone? Thought control over your computer/smart phone/eye glasses, whatever, will be here sooner or later.

It will be a fundamental change in the human experience.

Avast only kind of requires registration. I always put in bogus name and email (dsda@sa.sds or something) and that's all that's needed.

To run browser(s)? If she is using web based email, then all her online actions are through Linux. I would think that would be more secure than Linux host/Windows guest. It doesn't necessarily need to be in seamless mode, but it might be more user friendly to her if it is.

Is it any better than Avast(free)? I have been using Avast for years and it seems to work quite well. Most if not all of the online reviews pick Avast over MSSE.

I use Chrome mainly, but I find FF to be more stable on various web sites. I would probably use FF more, but I like how Chrome handles tabs better and I really like Chrome remembering every setting, bookmark, installed add on etc.

Not to turn this into a "why Linux isn't main stream" thread. But I see the 2 biggest road blocks for Linux adoption as lack of support for Gaming and MS Office. I know you can run them in wine/VM etc. But an easy installation, at least currently, of Office is needed. So many Schools and businesses require it. Also a lot of people who would love to run exclusive Linux, are also gamers. I had my wife running on Linux, but she would get Office files for her Girl-scout troop and School (she was in college at the time), and didn't want to alter the format by using Open Office. Now I think alternatives to MS Office, like Google Docs and Open Office are becoming much more accepted recently, so maybe that with more gaming support we're almost there! :)

I know not of this "Gravity" you speak of, but "Intelligent falling" is hard to predict.
