Comment Finally! (Score 1) 427

I've always told my friends once the PS3 price would be on par with the 360, it would sell more, why would that be? Because the PS3 is a better console hardware-wise and can play Blu-Ray discs. On games, think about it, most third party games are made for both consoles, the differences are mostly Halo and GoW for the 360 and Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Infamous and others for the PS3. So it is a matter of taste. We'll seethis holiday season wich console sells more.

Comment What? no challenge? (Score 1, Insightful) 164

In my opinion this eliminates any kind of challenge, if you are stuck, you let the game play itself and that's it, no worries. I remember when I was a kid playing Super Mario Bros on NES, I liked it because it was a challenge, it was difficult and when I was stuck it kept me trying to play more and more to get out of that part instead of letting the game play itself and be bored.

Electronic Gaming Monthly Coming Back 45

skulluminati writes "It looks like the late, great, gaming mag EGM, which was canceled earlier this year by publisher Ziff-Davis, will now be making a comeback. Steve Harris, the founder of EGM, has acquired the trademark and publishing rights to the magazine. As a reader of EGM for 19 years (almost since the beginning) it is great to see the brutally honest, independent voice of the gaming community rise from the ashes."

Comment Finally DLC coming to the PS3! (Score 1) 71

I have been playing Fallout for more than 60 hours(PS3), and I haven't finished the game yet because of all the sidequests, back when they announced the DLC, when they said that they weren't coming to the PS3, I kind of lost my interest in the game, but now that they are going to release them for the PS3, I'll continue playing the game.

Activision On Iterating, Innovating Call Of Duty Series 66

Activision's Noah Heller sat down with Gamasutra to discuss the refinements made in Call of Duty: World at War to keep the popular FPS franchise moving forward. He points to cosmetic things, like realistic burning and the ability to set just about everything in the environment on fire, as well as bigger gameplay improvements, such as making the AI more difficult to beat without having it "cheat." "... the main thing we tried to do is honestly make the placement just more brutal. You've always got an advantage on the enemy; you've been through the level before, you know where they're going to be, but in Veteran mode you're going to find that they're not going to cheat. You're really going to have to be going for headshots using the most effective weaponry. You're going to have to use that bolt-action rifle and aim for the head if you want to take an enemy out at a distance. It's a different sort of gameplay. We heard those concerns and we tried to address them."
