Had the same ptroblem with my wife's Nokia Lumina and her work. Turned out the certificate had a domain name in it, but they used an ip address to access OWA and it had no A-Record.

When I picked up my Samsung Omnia 7 this morning it gleefully had on my main screens Calender App that I was on Holiday today. Luckily my wife was on hand to shout at me to get out of bed and get the kids up as she has a Palm Pre.

At the moment Sky, Talk Talk and O2 can access the Pirate Bay fine, although I have no doubt this won't last for long.

Posted this on the Guardian site but no reply so thought I'd ask here. As far as I know this ruling is only applicable in England and Wales as Scotland and Northern Ireland, while part of the UK has their own legal system. So therefore the block should not apply to customers in Scotland and Northern Ireland? I'm sure it would be easier for the ISPs to attempt a blanket block for a technical point of view but if so could their Scottish and Northern Irish customers have grounds to complain?

Apparently they'll be using http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleanfeed_(content_blocking_system) so alternative DNS won't work.

However, using TOR, third party VPN or what I plan to do, use my phone's 3G tethering to get a torrent file then switch back to BT once I have it should all work fine I imagine.

I've had an Samsung Omnia 7 since mid-November on 3, I'm delighted with the phone, I was one of the original UK guys who queued for an iPhone on launch, then went to a iPhone 3G, I just fancied a change and it was cheaper to get the Omnia 7 than an iPhone 4 & I have no regrets. And the Zune software I feel is far better than buggy iTunes. I tried a few Android phones as well, did like them but I felt the Windows 7 Phone's Metro was easier to navigate around. Saying that, I'll give andriod another go when my contact is up next November to see if it's got better. Saying that, the wife's Palm Pre's OS is fantastic as well, but stuck with flimsy and outdated hardware in my opinion. Web OS running on the Omnia 7's form factor with the AMOLED screen would be pretty cool.

Pizza Hut in Northern Ireland, and probably in the rest of the UK used SCO based cash registers about a year or two ago, don't know if they still do. I saw one booting up when I was in getting a coffee when a Pizza Hut was just opening for business that day. And my Vet uses a SCO system that runs off an old 486 in the reception and has WYSE terminals in each of the consulting rooms.
