It's interesting to see the exact number, but we obviously can't grok it. We want to know how many digits that number has.
They want everything, but when someone who has everything applies, they don't want to up the ante with high pay.
People keep asking why are they changing Windows when people like what they have? The answer is that new versions of Microsoft Windows will sell whether you like the new features or not. So they are using Windows for other goals. Specifically, they are using Windows for PC to accustom you to their Mobile offerings. That is their most logical way of making money and staying relevant. Just making you really like Windows 10 a lot doesn't really help them.
If the judge and the bailiffs were actually kangaroos! That would be adorable!
Windows 10 will sell. Why? Because it's there. Microsoft's goal is to push their tablet OS's and stuff. So they are making the UI more like the tablet, so you'll be used to it and want their tablet offerings.
Is Sega? Is Sega? Sega is just a software maker at this point. Did it fail is the question. Yes, it failed like Atari and countless other companies in other industries. These are two companies past their glory days in the same industry. The idea that they are the next Atari is frankly stupid. They are already out of the hardware biz. They WERE the Atari. Unless they dramatically have some kind of turn around their story is written and we know what it is. A more interesting question would be, "Is Sega the next Apple?" The answer is probably not, but at least that would be a question that would make sense to ask at this point.
Strongly agree. All these InfoWorld articles are crap.
But I shoot to make 100% of the code I write fluff.
If you really cared about quality of story, characters, etc. Sliders was by far the best. It doesn't hurt that it's science was some of the best too. Most items on this list are melodramatic space opera.
Almost anything at community college is general education or applied trade skill. In community college you can get a lot of good degrees in medical technician things and such. Aside from that its all, math, English, etc. I doubt you can take a single class in being a community organizer at any community college in the US.
But it has been that for a lot longer than 30 years. Shareholders get to fire the board and time value of money calculations make it so you want your money ASAP. So they always go for short term profit. It is the economic law.
Most people in the military have some sort of job and they receive training for that. They don't spend much time learning to be a commando.
Are you talking about boot camp? Bootcamp doesn't really teach you about combat. It's more of a series of complex choreographies that you have to learn. The purpose of this mostly has to do with indoctrination and brainwashing. The military certainly isn't going to loosen its brainwashing requirements on cyberwarriors.
Productivity goes up. Less labor is needed. The value of your labor goes down. You have to work more. Also, unemployment is higher.
You are complaining about a central feature of capitalism. Public companies chase profits and steeply discount the future. If they don't, the board is replaced with a new board that is willing to do that. You need major systemic change to change this.
