I imagine that back then they based death on the ability to determine if a person was breathing and if their heart was beating. Therefore, a brain dead person would still have been considered alive. A person in a coma would still be considered alive. You got it completely backwards.

Vista doesn't use WPF. That ended up being one the huge schisms between DevDiv and the Windows group, that .NET and WPF was shifting too much during the buildup of Vista for the Windows group to actually use, so Vista using WPF was scrapped. Obviously WPF ships with .NET 3.0, and many new .NET based apps use it (it's sure as shit better than Windows Forms).

Not a particularly great explanation as to the shortcomings of Javascript other than apparently C-style languages are a no-go with you. Plus it's prototype system is pretty half-assed, so I'm not sure that's even a positive (I'd prefer real prototype setup like in SELF).

I don't recall asking why anyone would want to use another language, though, as that's obvious: language preference. *shrug*

What's fundamentally wrong with eugenics? Yes, all past real world examples of it have been faulty and mostly driven by arbitrary and invalid criteria (skin color, eye color, unfounded belief in the superiority/weakness of some ethnic group, etc). However, that doesn't seem to point to anything fundamentally wrong with eugenics if done properly.
