I just got back from a vacation. All the hotels that offered free Wifi had it throttled from 0.5 to 1mbit. They offered faster speeds for $5/day. I just flipped on my 4G hotspot and let my family use that. I was pulling 15 up to 60mbit. Still on unlimited data via Verizon thankfully.

Also from my understanding, if there is no wifi password then the data between your devices and the wifi isn't encrypted. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is why I won't use a free wifi without passwords.

Most Ford, GM and Chrysler's are made of parts manufactured overseas and shipped into the US where they are then assembled into the final product. Source, my dad worked at a GM assembly plant where most of the parts were shipped in from either Canada or Mexico.

My brother works as one of these "robot repair men". Him and 4 others travel between several building maintaining about 200-250 various types of robots. So what use to be ~200+ people working was chopped down to ~5 people.

These robots being maintained were most likely built on an assembly line by other robots which are most likely maintained by a hand full of people.

Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of auto workers that lost their jobs to robots since the 1980's.

It's not Android, it's the devices manufacture and also the cell network owner to an extent. Android gets patched but the company that makes your phone won't push those patches to your device after it's so old. 1.5+ years seems to be the average cutoff now.

Manufactures will never ever push these patches to devices they deem outdated. This is a major incentive for them to get users to buy a new device. This is one of the few times I feel laws need to be created forcing them to push updates for major or possible minor security holes.

I was under the impression the NSA hired these people to make the botnets to harvest data. Once the NSA is done using it or are near exposure they dump everything on the person they hired and place the blame there.

That's a matter of opinion. I for one hate physical keyboards. My fat thumbs don't get along with them. The on-screen ones don't require any pressure making them much easier for me.

And you're assuming your current ISP isn't acting as a tick and monitoring your use? If you're using Verizon I would bet a large sum of cash they are afterall Verizon did admit to monitoring app usage on phones and selling that data. Comcast is most likely doing but using the data for their own dirty needs.

SQUARE ENIX is the same way. Their ToS over FF14 videos is pretty strict. They don't seem to be enforcing them right now but they could at any point.

Do what Blizzard did and allow big flexibility with using videos and images. It helps get the game out there everywhere. Blizzard even had a set of rules on how you can use images for your own personal website for the game.

They are already hydrogen fueling stations that produce the fuel for these cars right at the station. They use a lot of solar panels to produce the electric needed to split the water. Sure they only work good in really sunny areas but they do work.

Yet only has 1 gig of RAM. I won't even look at a phone unless it has at least 2.
