Borderlands game play to me.
When you installed it, didn't you look at the list of what it has access to? If I saw it wanting to get my location I would have stopped right there and not installed it. No flashlight app needs to know my location to work.

Every time a copyright claim is made against a Youtube account and it turns out to be false, the company that made the claim needs to be punished in some way such as a fine. Maybe Google can send them bills for every false claim. This could force them to make sure the copyright claim they made are legit.
Either way, something needs to be done to stop them from claiming anything and everything right off the bat.
This is exactly what I ran into. My company got a new block of IP's and several IP's within that was on their block list. I could never get through to them thus never got the IP's removed.
I stopped using their blacklist years ago because their service is unreliable. They seem to have this "We're better than you" mentality.
Bidding ended decades ago. It's all about who buys what politician the most fancy vacation getaways.
My guess is they are using hacked Asterisk servers. My servers get hit on a daily bases from all sorta of IPs, most from China er I mean East Asia.
When will I start getting paid for allowing companies to use my data? I would settle for some cash or even a free device or two. *cough* Google Glass.

That sounds even more insecure. Some malware that copies the read contents of the card and sends it off to some database. A different type of card skimming.
Exactly. This law will be enforced depending on what side of the bed the police wake up on that day.
There is no way I can recommend an iPhone to anyone. Sure, they look cool and work (mostly), but the nagging and Big Brother nonsense just doesn't make them worth the effort.
Exactly why I won't ever buy another one or recommend them. You hand over lots of $$, they hand you a device and say, "Have fun with 'our' device and remember, you can only do what we allow you do with it. If we don't approve of it then you can't do it."
In other words, you never own the device. Apple isn't big brother, Apple is mommy and daddy that have your, er I mean their device locked down.
What I don't understand is, they allow them to rally in the streets of Britain and shout over megaphones "death to britains, death to americans" but aren't allowed to post this on FB?
And it only took 7 version and 13 years to get there.....
