You sir, are in denial.

Take a deep breath, go read what you wrote again. You came with no counter arguments, no reasonable statements to prove the parent wrong, you went full bat-shit crazy because of the words "all of them".

A reasonable argumenter would provide counter points, e.g. links to glaciers that are growing (articles, there should be a few); a reasonable person would probably consent to the fact that a lot of glaciers are shrinking - yet you went full cat-crazy lady and worst part is you believe you made a different statement.

At what point do you forgive someone?

Are you still holding a grudge against Germany for the WW2? Or the US for slavery? Or what about most clothing companies for abusing child labor in the 80s and 90s? Or their continued abuse of cheap labor in India and China? Sony fucked up once and haven't done that again, a fiasco that probably didn't even affect you, yet you wear clothes, probably eat meat and drive a car - all of which are doing more physical harm in a day than what Sonys rootkit ever did.

Which is why we use the assignments, we don't care about cover letter or CV, solve one of the assignments and send that, then you are good to go (explicitly mentioned). So far we have received a ton of applicants, who 1. haven't done the assignment, 2. haven't even bothered reading the offer; they are going straight to the bin. (Pro tip, if you can't fulfill something in an job offer, remember to at least write why you can't).

You really should read up on technologies before making statements like that.

The Pedo busts were not attacking exit nodes, it was an attack on the hidden services within the network, there is no mim attack on hidden services, as no one knows who is talking to who. What the FBI did was compromising the servers hosting the material, serving malware that send a single request out outside the TOR network.

Regarding 2; this only works if your software is perfect, which it won't be. The Pedo bust was abusing a known bug in Firefox 17, which had been fixed for quite a long time, it only takes a single bug in the stack to inject some data, that can be collected at some point later - Even if you only allow data through TOR and using SSL, there is nothing preventing FBI sending enough data about your local network, to help identifying you. (For instance, a quick wifi-scan gives you enough information to place my system somewhere in Denmark, using WIFI databases, like the stuff google collected with street view, you can probably pinpoint it even further)

While forcing SSL is a nice idea, generally, it wont work; as you said, people are doing mixed content - on top of that, it only takes a single compromised request to a CDN like jQuery, to have your system thoroughly compromised, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCNZJ_7f0Hk (While they are compromising anonymous proxies, the attack will work just as well on TOR)

We are currently hiring, instead of listing specific requirements our posting includes 3 assignments matching the kind of work the worker would end up doing (3 different languages and domains). Want to work for us, show us your skill, we are tired of receiving hundreds of "I'm the best certified programmer".

So far it's been a nice way of weeding out the crowd.

Half? Not even close. We are currently hiring, we prefer local work force, someone who shows up each day, someone we can talk to. Local salary is in the $80.000 range. However, if we are looking for someone working remotely, they are up against quite qualified eastern block workers, whom clock in at $12.000-15.000.

If I have to deal with remote workers, I'd go for the cheaper option.
