Comment Re:MSi Wind u100 (Score 1) 1231

Under 9.04 I had issues with being able to connect to an ad-hoc wireless network and I also had to workaround a bluetooth issue with my bluetooth mouse. Both of those issues are fixed in 9.10, but I too have the backlight changing issue along with the USB bug. The camera doesn't work either, when it did on 9.04. I was able to workaround the backlight issue by stopping gnu-power-manager. Not the best solution, but it does allow me to work without going into seizures.

3D Realms Sued Over Failed Duke Nukem Forever Plans 180

Take-Two Interactive has now sued 3D Realms over the cancellation of Duke Nukem Forever . Take-Two did not provide continuous funding for the game, but they did pay $12 million for the publishing rights to the game. A Bloomberg report quotes Take-Two's complaint as saying that 3D Realms "continually delayed the completion date" and "repeatedly assured Take-Two and the video-gaming community that it was diligently working toward competing development of the PC Version" of the game. (The complaint refers to 3D Realms as part of Apogee Software, Ltd., not to be confused with Apogee Software, LLC, the publisher behind the still-forthcoming Duke Nukem Trilogy.)

Submission + - Pico-ITX- Because Size Matters

An anonymous reader writes: It's not every day that a new form factor comes out, especially not one that is 10cm x 7.2cm. Despite its size, Pico-ITX is the hottest new thing in the rapidly changing small form factor market. It is considerably smaller than Mini-ITX (17cm x 17cm) which has proven itself to be quite versatile and though some sacrifices had to be made to shrink the platform, Pico-ITX is surprisingly complete. The system was tested with Feather Linux but the PX10000 has the power to run Windows XP or Ubuntu if you want to add on a hard drive.
